The Veranda At The Lodge

The al fresco veranda boasts a uniquely romantic experience. The veranda is available for private dinners, gatherings, photo shoots and as a perfect rustic backdrop for your walk down the aisle. The veranda has sweeping lake and mountain views with direct access to the lodge and the solarium.

Lake Ida | Lake Dock | Lake Bridge

As you approach the Estate lodge, a beautiful wood bridge spans the terraced, rock lined spillway of the 14 acre, spring fed, completely private, Lake Ida. Both the bridge and the dock offer endless photo opportunities for your big day.  Behind the pristine lake is the ridge that marks the start of the Pine Mountain range.

The Canopy At Lake Ida

Nestled in a lush green haven in the heart of The Magnolia Estate property is the canopied private space that is perfect for your wedding ceremony. The canopy area feels like a private mountain retreat and is the perfect backdrop to highlight you on your special day.

Nearby the Estate lawn is equipped to be tented, with full lighting and sound capabilities for up to 250 for seated dining or 300 for receptions. The lawn has prime views of the historic lodge, Lake Ida and the mountains behind.

Grooms Room | Roosevelt Bar

Inside the 8000 sqft lodge is this historic room which was a favorite of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The groom and his groomsman can enjoy a toast in this dedicated pre-ceremony area, surrounded by treasures from Callaway family’s years at the Estate.

Virginia’s Butterfly Room

The bride and her bridesmaids have exclusive pre-ceremony access to this space, Virginia Callaway’s private sitting room. The room has lots of natural light, a private bathroom, solarium access and vintage charm in spades.

The Cellars

The cellar building is constructed of oversized masonry from locally quarried stone. The intimate vault houses the impressive, private wine cellar with access to a private green space behind. This space will be available soon for private dinners and small events.

The Lily Ponds

A private woodland pathway borders the creek on the Estate which leads to a series of 7 circular lily and koi ponds built by the Callaway family. The surrounding wooded rolling topography provides exceptional wildlife habitat, particularly intensively managed whitetail deer, that move across the over 33,000 acres of adjoining private and state-owned lands. A rare native azalea, Azalea prunifolium, grows here on the property. It graces guests with it’s stunning color and speaks of the lasting Callaway legacy of preservation and land stewardship. This space will be available soon for small events.

Cason’s Cabin

Come relax in a roomy and lovely, historical 4 bedroom 4 bath cabin located in the Callaway Gardens Area on private Lake Ida. This cabin was built by the the founder of Callaway Gardens, Cason J. Callaway in 1930 and renovated in the late 90s. It is part of a property which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and until now has never been available to the public as a rental.

The cabin is 3200 sq feet- Ample space for 8 guests! It has new master beds, beautiful antique furnishings, wifi, and 60″smart tv. The antique wood furnishings are original to the cabin from 1930, many from Old Hickory Furniture Company- purchased in 1930 when the cabin was built. Two king bedrooms and two twin bedrooms are perfect for two families, or 8 adults. Each bedroom has a private adjoining tub/shower combo bathroom.

The living area of the house features a nice sized living room and kitchen with a pass though dining room between them. There is a wood burning fireplace as well in the living area, and a 60″ smart TV, on which guests can access their own app accounts.
